He smiled at everyone and didn't cry at all, was happy to be passed around, and hopefully enjoyed his day!!
The service was lovely. After a couple of songs Steve and I went up and Matt, the church leader spoke about what the dedication means, it's biblical principles and asked us to promise to teach Joel about Jesus, and bring him up a Christian, and pray for him. Of course we said 'we do'!!
He also asked the church to stand and promise to pray for him and help us which they all did.
We then sang 'Because He Lives' which I'd asked to be played as it's a lovely hymn and has the words -
'how sweet to hold, a new born baby,
and feel the pride, and joy he brings,
but greater still, the calm assurance,
this child can face uncertain days becuase He lives'.

Joel does make me so proud, and joyful, and to know he has so many people praying for him is wonderful!
